Hi, I’m Leora!

Leora Braden Ibraheem, LICSW, LCSW-C

Therapist, Coach, Wellness Program Designer

My personal life experiences led me to serve others. I have worked as a direct care provider and administrator for the past 20+ years. At this stage in my life, I believe that my skills and expertise can be best utilized by helping others meet their personal and professional wellness goals.

I have a specific interest in understanding the impact of racism and generational trauma on African Americans. Far too often we as a society pay attention to the symptoms of racism and trauma rather than understanding the impact.

I have worked with individuals that have directly or indirectly experienced domestic violence, sexual trauma, incarceration, racism, addiction concerns, financial instability, divorce, grief & loss, infidelity, and parent/child relational concerns to name a few. In order to heal mentally and emotionally it's paramount that an individual understands the root cause.

I am experienced in motivational interviewing, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I offer a wholistic, authentic, and results driven therapeutic experience.

Hi, I’m Edward!

Edward Williams, LICSW

Therapist, Coach, & Trainer

As a Social Worker for nearly 20 years, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to assist people in the following areas: Child Abuse and Neglect, to include In Home and Reunification, Treatment Foster Care and Child Protective services; Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Employment Coaching and Behavioral Support within our school systems.

After 20 years of assisting individuals adjust to their life’s challenges, I’ve decided that it’s time to do this a different way! My primary focus is to address the emotional, psychological, and familial issues of the LGBTQ community. My intent is to help all people across the continuum tell their truths with preparation. Just because we tell our “Truths” doesn’t automatically make us “Free.”

My approach is very simple: Tell me what truth you want to share, and I will help you prepare to tell it. If you’ve already told your Truth, I want to help you live it to its fullest.

Hi, I’m Jennifer!

Jennifer Boston, LMSW, LGSW

Therapist, Trainer & Wellness Program Designer

I specialize in individual, group and family therapy with children, youth, and families. Many of my clients come in to address anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and loss. I’m particularly passionate about serving survivors of trauma and anyone who needs to heal. I have an an uncanny ability to connect with others, which is rooted in my sincerely held belief that I was put on this earth to serve.

I am trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness, in which we look at thoughts and emotions and how we can use interventions to improve responses to situations. In session, I focus on a variety of techniques including breathing exercises and coping skills in response to stress and anxiety. This approach supports clients to feel empowered, encouraged and develop different tools to apply as appropriate.

My style is engaging, authentic and customized. When clients first start therapy, it is important to establish a trusting relationship and create an environment that feels safe. Listen to what the client identifies as a need and determine how to support. Everyone is a subject matter expert of their life. People want to heal, and I can help them with that!

I received my MSW from The Catholic University of America. I have worked at So Others Might Eat. Outside of private practice, I enjoy travel, tasty food, and advocacy.

Hi, I’m CHLOE!

Chloe Mcinnis

Fitness Coach

I am a fitness professional and native of Washington, DC. After graduating from Livingstone College with a degree in Biology, I took a desk job and noticed that my health took a bit of a decline due to inactivity. As a former college athlete, I knew that movement was my passion so I made a career change in 2005. I began with a Personal Training Certification (NESTA), that evolved into certifications in Group Exercise (AFAA), Pliates Reformer (Balanced Body), Yoga200 RYT (YogaFit) and Aerial Yoga 1&2 (Flying Buddah Yoga).

Many of us have been on a physical wellness journey at different points in times in our lives. My approach to fitness/wellness is that it cannot be "one size fits all". All bodies do not need all things. I find that my personable approach to fitness creates authentic engagement and connection in a real and meaningful way. I am not perfect and I don’t ask my clients to be either. PERFECTION IS BORING! These are words I live by. Let's work and learn together in a judgement free zone. Get Fit and Have Fun! Referrals are welcomed and appreciated.
