    The first step in healing is to recognize that something needs to change. The things that you’ve done in the past, no longer serve you today. It’s time to look in the mirror and be honest with who you are and what you want for your life.

    Although we spend a lot of time “in our heads”, how often do we take the time to really dissect and understand where our sincerely held beliefs originate from. It is necessary to reflect on where we’ve come from, in order to understand where we are going.

    It takes work and intention to acknowledge and understand why we are the way we are. The next step in this process is accepting that we had no control over what we’ve experienced, but we do have control over how we allow those experiences to impact us today and our desires for our future.
